OUR CANDLES
Our candles are made with a professional blend of vegetable and mineral wax. We are in the process of changing our wax to a coconut and rapeseed blend of wax. It is completely free from paraffin, soy, palm, beeswax and synthetic additives.
Our candle wicks are a cotton blend.
Candle Care
- Never re-light your candle or continue to burn if there is less than 1.5cm of wax left.
- Trim your Wicks – Before lighting ensure your candle wick is between 3-6mm
- Do not burn your candle for longer than 4 hours.
- When you first light your candle you should continue to burn it until the wax melts to the side or nearly to the side of the container. But never any longer than 4 hours.
- Do not leave wick deposits in the wax.
- Ensure you candle is placed on a heat proof surface.
- When burning more than one candle, ensure there is at least 15cm between candles.
- Keep your candle away from drafts.
- Never move a burning candle.
- Extinguish your candle using a snuffer, it is not recommended you blow your candle out.
OUR WAX MELTS
Our wax melts are made with a special blended wax. The wax is a hard wax, so the wax melts don’t go soft or greasy in your hand and it also makes the wax melt easier to get out of your burner when you wish to change your scent.
Wax Melts and Wax Melt Burners Care
Wax melts are shaped pieces of scented wax. The wax is filled with fragrance, so once melted the aroma will fill the home for you to enjoy. Wax melts are very easy to use and are very clean. Simply place your melt into your burner/warmer, with an unscented tea light underneath, (it is recommended that you only use your burner for a maximum of 4 hours) or an electric burner. DO NOT ADD WATER & DO NOT OVERFILL YOUR BURNER.
A wax melt will NOT evaporate, it is the fragrance that burns off, so once you can no longer smell the fragrance it is time for a change! A wax melt can be used several times before needing to be changed, this will vary from scent to scent and can be anything from 6 to 12 hours. When you can no longer smell it, simply remove & add a new melt.
The best way to remove a wax melt, is to heat the wax melt for about 30-60 seconds and the old wax will slide off the dish for you to dispose, having kitchen paper to hand can help with this.
Reed Diffuser Refills
Our reed diffuser refills contain the same as your boxed reed diffusers. Please see details under Reed Diffusers.
Please take care when refilling your bottle, we recommend you refill your bottle over the kitchen sink incase of spillage. Please follow all the safety advice given for reed diffusers.
OUR REED DIFFUSERS
Our reed diffusers are made with augeo, which is widely used in many reed diffusers. It is a made from a renewable source, has a low odour and evaporates slowly.
Reed Diffuser Care
Reed diffusers are designed to gently fragrance a room. They are not designed to fill a room with fragrance. Reed diffusers create a subtle aroma, only noticed as you walk or stand nearby.
Reed diffusers work by the reeds soaking up the fragrance, therefore it is important that you turn your reeds to ensure the fragrance keeps diffusing, we recommend turning your reeds once a week. It is advised you wear a disposable glove when turning your reeds to avoid getting the liquid on your skin. We recommend taking the diffuser to kitchen sink before turning the reeds to prevent drops of augeo falling on yourself, or your surroundings. See further advise below.
Reed diffusers work best in warm rooms but do not put them on top of radiators or in direct sunlight as the liquid will evaporate more quickly. If you find your can no longer smell your reed diffuser, we suggest, you give the bottle a little gentle shake, then turn the reeds. We also find moving your reed diffuser to another room, as you can sometimes go nose blind when the scent is the same room all the time.
Reed Diffuser Safety
- Augeo is a flammable liquid, do not try to light the reeds. Do not ingest the liquid.
- Keep out of the reach of children and pets. People suffering from perfume sensitivity should be cautious when using this product. Use gloves when handling used reeds.
- Do not placed the diffuser on polished, painted, plastic or leather surfaces or on electrical equipment, as accidential spillage may cause damage to certain materials.
OUR ROOM SPRAYS
Our room sprays are made with perfumers alcohol. We choose this base because it does not contain silicone. Silicone can make your floors slippy. The fragrance lingers a lot longer when mixed with perfumers alcohol.
Room Spray Care
Room sprays are perfect for those who like a quick blast of fragrance. It is important that when you spray your fragrance you point and spray up into the air. Do not spray directly onto furniture or furnishings.
